A. Admission by Entrance Examination
The majority of graduate student at Keio are admitted through this
procedure. Requirements for admission are:
- 1. Completion of 16 years education (secondary education plus undergraduate education at a Japanese/foreign university).
- 2. To pass the Entrance Examination
- (a) Written examination in the field of computer science, mathematics, and either physics or chemistry.
- (b) Foreign languages.
- (c) Personal interview.
B. Admission through Gaikokujin Ryugakusei Nyushi (Admission Arrangement for International Students)
This admission procedure was set up to give wider opportunities for
international students to apply for admission overcoming their
disadvantage in Japanese language ability. In recent years, a new
provision has been added so that an international student may seek
admissions without the burden of training in
Japan just to take entrance examinations.
Required qualification for admission are:
- 1. Completion of 16 years education (secondary education plus
undergraduate education at a foreign university).
- 2. Preliminary screening of required documents.
- 3. Entrace Examination (held separately from other entrance
examinations).
- (a) Written examination in the field of computer science.
- (b) Japanese.
- (c) Personal interview.
Those who have a Master`s degree
Requirements for admission for those who have a Master`s degree is as
follows:
- 1. Completion of Master's Program at a Japanese university or
attainment of a degree equivalent to a Master's degree at educational
institutions outside Japan.
- 2. To pass the Entrance Examination.
- (a) Foreign languages.
- (b) Personal interview.
